Hope for Homeless, a shelter for neglected and stray dogs in Cyprus, run entirely by volunteers. No grants or other income, only gifts and donations. Our shelter exists since 2014 and has already found a golden basket for many hundreds of dogs. Perhaps your new dog will be among those to be adopted.

Adopt a dog
Adopting a dog from a foreign country is different from adopting a dog in the Netherlands, for example from a shelter or sanctuary.
About us
We have been running the shelter for 8 years now and have rescued hundreds of dogs. We, the owners as well as the volunteers, became one big family.
New shelter
Hope for Homeless needs to move from its current location. The owner of the plot did not fulfill his payment agreements to the bank.
About Hope for Homeless
Hope for Homeless is a shelter for neglected and stray dogs in Cyprus. This shelter is run entirely by volunteers. The shelter has been in existence since 2014 and has already found adoptive parents for many hundreds of dogs. Sometimes it happens that an adoption does not turn out as expected and then Home for Homeless looks for a rehoming for the dog. It also happens that a dog no longer qualifies for adoption, this may be due to illness, old age or behavior, then at Hope for Homeless it is also possible to adopt a dog remotely, then you become a foster parent. That way, the dog can live out his/her days at the shelter and then not have to be euthanized.
If you are looking for a dog that deserves a second chance feel free to look further on this website. Instead of choosing by gender, we chose to choose by size. Not everyone wants/can have a big dog in the house and in that way of searching you already know how big the dog is or will be.
